The Last Frontier (A Unique settlement in the northern frontiers) !
Nomung - Situated 125 km north of Putao at an altitude of 1640 ft, 500 meters above sea is the centre for the area in terms of administration, health care and education. Nomung Township probably is one of the most sparsely populated areas in Asia having two people per square mile ratio. You will witness heavily forested jungle with rich flora and fauna. Being depot of botany in northern Myanmar having a huge range of flowers including Rhododendron Dendricoala and many deferent species of Begonias etc. This is the very place that well-known botanist Frank Kingdon Ward has found many rare species of orchids during his botanic survey in 1920.

Walking tour in and around Putao By jeep/truck to Machanbaw, off the truck and trek to Alangga A challenging trek to Htangga through the dense tropical forests Relatively easy trek to Uringga across Hprutkha creek Trek through pristine forest lively with flora and fauna to Babaw Trek to Kwinmaling via Magwiza, junction to Hkawnglanghpu Trek through the shoulder of the steep Beekoat Mountain to Nomung Heading toward west to Maza, a different return journey by mule trek Up hill towards the shoulder of Babulonhtan peak to Maza Winding mule trek to Namsabum, lowland walk to Htawadum, by jeep to Putao Excursion Mulashidi, interact with locals and visit suspension bridge Transfer to airport for your onward departure
