Our Staff Profile

Putao Trekking House comprises with young, energetic and well experienced personnel, who can ensure your holiday with us will be about adventure, excitement, and a journey through the natural beauty and cultural diversity of some of the planet’s last remote areas. You will be traveling with the very knowledgeable, local leaders who possess exceptional quality in experience of their own environment and culture. Our staff are convinced in the sustainable tourism initiative in the region and applies his valuable knowledge in to community projects which we initiate time to time to benefit local community.

Our Putao based Manager:Aung Aung Moe
Aung Aung Moe:
You will find Aung Moe very energetic and enthusiastic about our operation in Putao. Aung Moe has been the most responsible person right from start up Putao Trekking House construction and will be looking after entire operation from its base at Putao. Having been to various trekking sites and done survival and first aid training Aung Moe is able and ready to handle any operational challenge that arises before him.

U Yun Ngaing Yin @ Ar Yin
Ko Ar Yin is a native guide belong to Rawang tribe, born in the village lies deep with in the Hkakaborazi National Park and grown up in the region playing in the Hkakaborazi glacier. Possess first hand experience in white water rafting in the region rugged rivers. Expert in fishing especially in iced water. Ko Ar Yin has been leading most of our rugged expeditions through Hkakaborazi region.Moe Aung
Moe Aung:
Moe Aung has been leading adventure based program such as bird watching, botanical survey, wildlife safari for several years especially in the Hukoung Valley and Putao region. Possess excellent organizational skill dealing with native and experience in the wildness. His passion in wildlife and bird makes him a real nature lover and wouldn't be any happier then being in the wildness.

 
Aung Aung
Our Local guides:
Aung Aung:
Native guide belong to Rawang tribe, has been leading our expedition since last five years and possess tremendous knowledge of the region, its tribal communities and the wildlife. Aung Aung also posses a special organizational skill which enable us a physically and mentally strong supporting group.

Yaw SetYaw Set:
Native guide belong to Lisu tribe, used to be hunter but transformed in to local leader. Yaw Set probablyis one of the most experienced and knowledgeable local leader you may find in this region. Having been to all the treks in the area and possess a great leading role amongst the ethnic group in the area.

Moe Min TheinMoe Min Thein:
Native guide belong to Rawang tribe, relatively new in the industry but has shown lots of talent in dealing with clients and local staff. Possess with tremendous knowledge of the region and its people Moe Min Thein quickly became local leader. Freshly complete several trainings such as cooking, bakery and other wildness survival training etc and has been more then ready to lead out future expeditions.


Minrum @ AthaylayMinrum @ Athaylay
Every one calls him Athaylay as he has small build body but extremely strong and talented. Athaylay has been helping as cook and general staff in our expedition since last several years. Freshly complete several trainings such as cooking, bakery and other wildness survival training etc and more then ready to lead out future expeditions.

Phone Zee
Our Support team:
Phone Zee:
Native guide belong to Rawang tribe, used to be hunter but transformed in to local leader. Despite of his young age Phone Zee possess a great deal of experienced and local knowledge in terms of dealing with difficult situation like torrent rainfall, landslide case etc. Having been to all the treks in the area and possess a great leading role amongst the ethnic group in the area.

Simrum:Simrum
Belong to Rawang tribe, Simrum has been with us for more then 5 years and has shown a great deal of interest and leadership dealing with rest of the porters and cooks. Like Phone Zee, Simrum also possess a great deal of experienced and local knowledge in terms of dealing with difficult situation.

Teerum
Teerum:
Belong to Rawang tribe, Teerum also look after our Wasandum guesthouse. Teerum has been with us for more then 5 years and has shown a great deal of interest and leadership dealing with other local staff.
Namar Johnson




Our Signature Leader:
Namar Johnson:
The only local ever to conquered Mt. Hkakaborazi 5889 meter along with celebrated Japanese mountaineer Takashi Ozaki. Tibetan by clan, born in Tahaungdum village and grown up in the region playing in the Hkakaborazi glacier. Based in Tahaungdum (bottom of the Mt. Hkakaborazi) and leads some of our special signature trips along with Ah Yin mostly of our rugged expeditions through Hkakaborazi region.

Thet HtunThet Htun:
Thet Htun is very enthusiastic in wildness and adventure activities. Joined Hiking and Mountaineering Association in 1983 and currently acting as instructor. Having special training certificate from ENSA - Chamonex Alpine Mountaineering School (France), Thet Htun become one of the most experienced Trekking leader in the industry and was among the first group to conquer Mt. Hkakaborazi in 1996.
