Where the context permits:
Reference to ‘You’ means you and all persons traveling on your booking. Reference to ‘We’ and ‘Us’ means Putao trekking house. Receipt by us of your initial booking deposit implies that you and all persons in your party have read, understood and agreed to our terms and conditions.

Lead name:
Whether you travel alone or as a member of a group we will only deal with the lead booking name in all correspondence, including changes, amendments and cancellations. The "lead name" must be at least 18 years old at the time of booking and have the legal capacity and authority to make travel arrangements with us. The "lead name" is fully responsible for ensuring the accuracy of information supplied to us on behalf of all persons traveling and is fully responsible for passing on information accurately to all accompanying persons. You are also fully responsible for informing us of any special needs of anyone in your party. You are entirely responsible for ensuring passports, visas, health certificates, inoculations and any other required documentation are in order before travel and on arrival. Putao trekking house carries no responsibility or assumes liability for your failure to provide or present correct documentation when requested or any additional costs incurred by you due to any failure by you to comply with necessary requirements. It is a condition of your booking with us that all persons traveling including infants and children are adequately insured for the duration of your trip. Should you or any of your group member fall ill whilst traveling with us we will endeavor to provide you with assistance but we will not incur any costs or charges on your behalf. We accept no responsibility or liability for the injury, illness or death of you or anyone in your party.

Booking procedure:
Putao trekking house programs require permit to travel thus booking is require minimum two weeks prior to commence of tour, trek or expeditions. Booking form need to be completed and either fax it to 01-664451 or email attach file to "sales@putaotrekkinghouse.com". "Client Profile Form" and Client Liability Release Form" need to be completed at the time of booking. A hard copy of "Insurance Policy" to be provided to us prior to client's departure to Putao. Please note booking will be accepted on the assumption of availability but will confirm them only upon confirmed receipt of the requested deposit. We may not be able to hold availability for any product or service until your deposit is received.

Deposits and payments:
A deposit of 30% is require upon confirmation in order to secure your booking. This may be in advance of travel by bank transfer or credit card. We will inform you of when and how to pay the balance for your travel arrangements. This may be in the form of bank transfer, credit card, or on arrival in Myanmar by cash payment in US Dollars (please note we do not accept old, stain and torn dollar bill but accept only new and perfect condition preferably large bill). We are not responsible for any extra costs incurred involving bank transfers or credit card payments. If you do not make full payment for your arrangements by the required date we will consider the booking cancelled and you will forfeit any deposit paid.

Validity:
Prices quoted are net basis and valid according to the date specified on the printed tariffs, quotation, invoice etc. Journeys/Putao trekking house warrants that the prices or rates quoted are correct at the time of issuance but are subject to change in line with market, tax, government fees or currency fluctuation.

Amendments:
If you want to change any details of your travel arrangements after you have paid your deposit but before you commence those arrangements you should contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to assist with your request. If the change is minor we will endeavor to make the change at no further cost to you. If the change requires more work then we impose you an appropriate charge ask you to pay the charge before we action the change. Please note we may not be able to accommodate your request during "high occupation period". In such case we will not be responsible for any lost or additional costs incurred. Should trip be canceled after deposit cancellation fee applies.

Cancellations and refunds:
All cancellations must be advised in writing and are accepted from the date the written confirmation is received and applied to refund guidelines below. 14 to 8 days prior to commencement of the tour: You will loose your deposit 30% of the total cost per person 7 days and less prior to commencement of the tour: You will loose 100% of the total cost per person Additionally, no refund will be made if you abandon your travel arrangements part way through, or miss any scheduled service or meals. No refund will be considered in the event that you are refused entry to Myanmar. If we have to cancel any tour, trek or expedition due to unforeseen circumstance, refund will be made after deduction of 10% of the total cost per person to cover permit and other logistic expenses. However the operator will not be liable for any additional costs incurred.

Permit:
Travel to Putao region require government-issued permits and we will arrange those permit as and on behalf of you. The issue of a permit is beyond our control and is non-guarantee. In the event of a permit being refused we will try to offer some other program else. If this is not acceptable to you then a refund will be considered after deduction of 10% of the total cost per person to cover permit and other logistic expenses.

Grouping:
Putao trekking house programs are based on minimum (4) and maximum (8) to (12) participants respectively. Putao trekking house reserves the right to combine in order to form a decent group on same departure. Should there be no participant to join to form a group of minimum (4) participants then "Small Group Supplement" is liable to be able to operate with existing number of clients.

Flights:
Due to the weather in mountainous region, irregularities of domestic flight schedule may affect your onward journey. Putao trekking house cannot be responsible for any charges you might incur as a result of these cancellations once you are in Putao. Should the schedule flight cancels on the planned date before depart to Putao then we will try to book next available flight. If this is not acceptable to you then a refund will be considered after deduction of 10% of the total cost per person to cover permit and other logistic expenses.

Un-used service:
No refunds will be considered any unused service after commencement of the tour, trek or expeditions regardless of the reason whatsoever.

Insurance:
It will be compulsory for you to take your own personal travel insurance, which must cover adventure activities and include emergency evacuation as "pre condition" of booking. Full contact details of the insurance policy will need to be carried with the expedition. In addition you will be asked to sign a waiver form on certain trek, expedition and a liability release form on rafting, which will recognize your voluntary participation in an adventure activity, which carries a certain amount of inherent risk.

Disabilities:
Putao has no facility for disabled people. Therefore we reserve right to refuse to make travel arrangements for disabled travelers in order to avoid risk, injury for the person concerned.

Conduct while traveling:
Putao trekking house reserve the right to refuse to accept a customer or continue dealing with him or her if his or her behavior is disruptive, affects other travelers or is threatening or abusive towards locals, other travelers or our staff. Putao trekking house accept no responsibility or liability for any service booked and denied due to illness, physical unfit, disruptive, threatening or abusive behavior.

Problems and complaints:
Should you or any of your group members encounter a problem or complaint whilst in Putao region he or she must immediately notify them to our field staff or to office located in Putao locally as soon as possible. If you or your group members do not give us the opportunity to resolve the problem locally at the time it occurs then we may not be able to solve them positively.

Responsibilities:
Putao trekking house assumes no liability for any loss for injury or damage sustained by the person including those occurring outside the programs. Further more accepts no responsibilities for losses or additional expenses due to accident, delay, sickness, weather, strike, unusual delay in permit or other cause beyond its control. Participation in the tour implies the person's agreement to the above conditions. Putao trekking house reserve the right to modify or reverse the original program if necessary in the interest of the clients, however will make fullest possible endeavor to keep up with the original program and arrangements as agreed upon to the best of its capacity.

Claim:
You should file any complaint to us within 30 days of the final date of arrangements made by us for you. We will not enter into an investigation for any complaint received more than 30 days after you finish your travel arrangements with us.
