Sample itinerary - actual may vary

Fri - Day 01  Arrival  Putao
Upon arrival at Putao airport meet and greet by Putao trekking house's representative and transfer to your hotel. Putao, lies in a flat valley, jumping-off point for trekkers who want to explore the region’s deep forests, wildlife sanctuaries and snow-capped mountains etc. After a brief fresh up, have light lunch and take a walk in and around Putao for the orientation. Dinner and overnight at Putao Trekking House.  

Sat - Day 02  Putao - Namhtunkoo (trek)
Breakfast and we visit attractive Putao market often busy with local ethnic tribes. Later we head off towards Namhtunkoo Lisu village, situates west of Putao on the cross road to Mt. Lancrumadin with the distance of 15 km which should take about 5 hours to get there. First we drive to Pa In village from where we trek about two hour (with the distance 4.20 km) through wildness with lush tropical evergreen forests to reach approx 2380 ft, 725 meters shoulder of Namhtun mountain range from where the path descends all the way. Far west we will see blazing 11530 ft, 3495 meters high Lancrumadin Mountain towards Indian border. We continue trek another two hours (with the distance 4 km) to reach the farm land from where we walk another one hour (with distance 2.75 km) to reach our final destination for the day. We check in at our guest house locate right beside lively Namhtun river. We visit around the village for social and cultural inter-action and relax by the river side while our supporting members prepare meal. Dinner and overnight a Namhtun guest house.

Sun - Day 03  Namhtunkoo - Mulashidi - Putao (trek/jeep)
Breakfast and we bit good bye to the locals and walk about 1½ hour (with the distance 2.5 km) through the field along Namhtun creek crossing the creek a couple of time. Once we get in to the wildness the terrain immediate become deep up amongst bamboo forests which leads up to 2658 ft, 810 meters, which should take us about one hour (with the distance 1.25 km). From here descending trek goes through sub-tropical forests about one hour through (with the distance 1.82 km). We continue trek through farm land about one hour (with the distance 1.18 km) from where we enjoy a spectacular view of the Putao plain spiral through snake like crawling Mula creek. About 1½ hour easy walk then we meet with out waiting jeep and travel further to Mulashidi village where we enjoy beautiful surrounding often back drop with snow capped mountains in distance. Later we return back to Putao. Dinner and overnight at Putao Trekking House.

Mon - Day 04  Putao Machanbaw - Putao (jeep)
Breakfast and we head towards east to Machanbaw with the distance of 20 km which takes about one hour. Machanbaw is a small administrative town ex- Putao with beautifully set up colonial style town. We arrive at Naungkhine village and walk through suspension bridge span across Malikha river to Machanbaw. Excursion in Machanbaw includes a small market and walk up to the so-called stone dragon park which should takes about 20 minutes to view the snake-like rock formation. We then walk back to the river front, cross suspension bridge to Naungkhine where we meet with our jeep and drive back to Putao. Dinner and overnight at Putao Trekking House.

Tue - Day 05  Departure
Breakfast and perhaps a last minute shopping at Putao market. Later we transfer to airport for our onward departure flight to conclude this unique experience.
