Fri - Day 01
Arrival - Putao
Upon arrival at Putao airport meet and greet by Putao trekking house's representative and transfer to your hotel. Putao, lies in a flat valley, jumping-off point for trekkers who want to explore the region’s deep forests, wildlife sanctuaries and snow-capped mountains etc. After a brief fresh up and light lunch we take a walk in and around Putao for the orientation. Dinner and overnight at Putao trekking house.
Sat - Day 02 Putao - Machanbaw

Breakfast and we board on
jeep for Machanbaw with t

he
distance 22 km which takes
about one hour partly on
paved and gravel road. Our
adventure start here as we
get off the jeep, cross
suspension bridge on foot
and trek on winding road
snakes its way through the
mountain ranges to Htikha
camp situates near Htikha
creek with the distance 14
km which takes about 4
hours. The region is covered
with lush vegetation, fast
flow streams and waterfalls.
We cross 73 meter long
suspension bridge and
continue trek to our today
destination Alangga, situate
1520 ft, 460 meter above sea
with the distance 3 km which
should take us about one
hour. Majority of tribe in
this village are of Lisu,
mixed with some Rawang and
Kachin. Dinner and overnight
at one of the local homes.
Sun - Day 03 Alangga - Htangga
(trek)
Breakfast and we start trek
to Htangga village with the
distance 19 km which should
take us about 6 hours
passing through the dense
forests. This section
probably is the most
challenging trek of entire
journey. Once we cross Namti
creek, the road winds
steeply upwards with a gorge
on the left and a wall of
mountains on the right. The
higher the altitude, the
colder the weather becomes.
As we pass through dense
forest one usually comes
across barking deer, jungle
fowls and birds flashing
through the woods. Once we
cross 55 meters suspension
bridge w

e arrive Htangga
situates approx 2200 ft, 670
meters above sea Majority
tribe of this village are of Kachin mixed with Lisu.

local homes.
Mon - Day 04 Htangga - Uringga
(trek)
Breakfast and we trek on
smooth path to Uringga with
the distance 15 km which
should take us about 5 hours
passing through Hprutkha
creek. Dinner and overnight at one
of the local homes.
Tue
- Day 05 Uringga - Babaw
(trek)
Breakfast and we shall be
heading for our to day
destination, Babaw with the
distance 18 km which should
take us about 6 hours via
the path become downstream
as mountain descend
gradually. The forest along
the way has been pristine
and filled with lively with
flora and fauna. Once we
reach at Gasang creek we
cross via a cane bridge to
get Babaw, situate at 1750
ft, 520 meters above sea.
Ratbaw is divided by Babaw
creek that flows into the
Gasang creek. We cross the
52 meter bridge to get to
Babaw II where we plan to
overnight at a guest house
situates at confluence of
the two creeks. Majority of
tribe in this village are of
Lisu mixed with Kachin and
Rawang. Dinner and overnight at
guest house.
Wed - Day 06 Babaw - Rapbaw -
Kwinmaling (trek)
Breakfast and we shall be
heading towards our today
destination at Kwinmaling
with the distance 19 km
which should take us about 6
hours along Gasang creek
with usually with dark-green
colour water. We arrive at
Magwiza camp, located 12 km
from Babaw which is the
junction to Nomung and
Hkawnglanghpu or Hkawbude.
We cross Gasang creek via
113 meter suspension bridge
which linking Ratbaw I and
II once we pass Dashehtu
village. From here we
continue trek about 6 km
along the smooth gravel road
to Kwinmaling with majority
Rawang mixed with Kachin and
Lisu tribe. Dinner and overnight at one
of the local homes.
Thu - Day 07 Kwinmaling -
Nomung (trek)
Breakfast and we keep trek
to our final destination at
Nomung, situates at 1640 ft
500 meters above sea and the
last frontier town of
Myanmar with the distance 6
km which should take us
about 3 hours through a 30
meter suspension bridge
across the Beekoat creek
which leads to the bottom of
the mountain. We trek up the
shoulder of the steep
Beekoat Mountain and descend
towards lowland along the
creek with green plantations
belong to the village.
Majority of tribe at this
village are of Rawang. We
shall have an easy afternoon
culturally and socially
interaction with the locals.
Dinner and
overnight at one of the
local homes.
Fri - Day 08 Nomung - Maza
(trek)
Breakfast and we change our
direction on west to Maza.
Our return journey will be
on different route on mule
trek rather then along the
dirt road. First 6 km we
trek along Kasankha stream
which should take us about 3
hours and after cross on a
suspension bridge we
continue trek with the
distance at 8 km which
should takes us about 4
hours. Dinner and overnight
in tents.
Sat - Day 09 Maza - Namti
(trek)
Breakfast and we turn our
direction to south-west
towards Namti, situate at
2300 ft, 700 meters

above
sea with the distance 19 km
which should takes at about
6 hours. First 6 km will be
up hill towards the shoulder
of 6150 ft, 1875 meters Mt.
Babulonhtan (locally known
as Noi Ngum) by winding
route through its top. Along
the way you will witness
many different species of
orchid along with birds.
Enjoy a spectacular view of
snow capped Mountains in the
far north. There will be
snow on the top of this
mountain during winter
months. This is the very
place that well-known
botanist Frank Kingdon Ward
has found many rare species
of orchids during his
botanic survey in 1920. Some
of the rare orchids such as
Phiopedilum Wadii or
Cypripedium Wardlamon
(generally known as black
orchid) which has been named
after the founder believe
can only be seen in Myanmar.
Beside black orchid there
are many different species
of orchids can be found here
such as Indrovian, Clanthi,
Simpidium, and Simpripedium
ect. Noiwinlit and
BabuLonhtan valley actually
is the depot of botany in
northern Myanmar having a
huge range of flowers
including Rhododendron
Dendricoala and many
deferent species of Begonias
etc. Dinner and overnight at one
of the local homes.
Sun - Day 10 Namhti - Namsabum
- Putao
(trek/jeep)
Breakfast and we keep trek
through winding mule trek to
Namsabum with the distance
15 km which should take us
about 5 hours. Once we climb
on Noiwinlit Mt. 4525 ft,

1380 meter we shall see
snake like crawling Namti
creek down in the bottom of
valley from the distance.
Once we cross Htikha creek
by a suspension bridge the
trek goes through up hills
and then to downhill all the
way to Namsabum. On the way
we witness heavily forested
jungle, groups of monkeys
were jumping everywhere
making loud noise.
We shall
notice some of the flower
that stands along side of
the route is very much alike
cobra snake in position of
ready to strike but were
proven to be some kind of
flowers. We continue trek to
Salundum with the distance
of 5 km which should take us
about 2 hours on a
relatively easy path. Once
we cross Malikha river by
boat to Htawadum, our jeep
awaits us and takes us back
to Putao. We have a farewell dinner with fellow group members, including guides and porters to commemorate the experience that we've shared for the past 10 days in this unique part of the world. Overnight at Putao trekking house.
Mon - Day 11 Putao (jeep)Breakfast and we visit attractive Putao market often busy with local ethnic tribes. Later we visit Mulashidi Lisu village with the distance 35 km which takes about one hour by jeep. We visit attractive Lisu settlement and 159 meter long suspension bridge across Mula river. Enjoy beautiful surrounding often back drop with snow capped mountains in distance. Dinner and overnight at Putao trekking house.
Tue -
Day 12 DepartureBreakfast and perhaps a last minute shopping at Putao market. Later we transfer to airport for our onward departure flight to conclude this unique experience.
